Christopher Rauer Obituary

Christopher E. Rauer
of Fitchburg, MA

Fitchburg -- Christopher E.Rauer, 27, of Fitchburg, died on September 15, 2017, in UMass Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Chris was born in Leominster on December 11, 1989, a son of Sharon (Richard) Livingston and Edward Rauer. He graduated from Monty Tech in 2008, specializing in auto body and mechanics. For over ten years Chris has worked for the 50/50 Diner, where he shared his love of cooking with David and Reesi Cordio, whom he considered his second set of parents. He was also currently working for the Asplundh Tree Service. Always a hard worker, Chris had previously worked for Porter Tree Service, Lakeview Landscaping, West Fitchburg Auto Body, and Scott Fors Construction.

He was very knowledgeable in the field of mechanics, and could be counted on to fix anything. He loved anything with a motor, from Jet skis to fast cars, you could guarantee Chris was working on it and enjoying every minute. Chris was a strong individual with a clever and witty sense of humor; he could light up a room and was always the life of the party. Honest, kind, generous, faithful, and selfless were just a few qualities that made Chris the lovable young man that he was. Enough cannot be said about Chris's wonderful character and the mark he has left on his many friends and beloved family members. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his mother Sharon Livingston and her husband Joseph; three brothers; Justin, Michael and Nicholas Rauer; a sister Marissa Davis and her husband Robert; his nieces and nephews; Hannah and Nolan Davis and Dylan, Evander, Noah, and Kennedy Rauer, whom he adored; maternal grandmother Ann Brisson; paternal grandparents Charles and Janice Rauer; uncle Steven Richard; aunt Lynda Koskinen and her husband Steven; many cousins. Chris was an animal lover and also leaves his two dogs, Sophie and Ruby.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Gerald "Jerry" Richard.

Rauer -- Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Thursday, September 21, from 5-7pm. Burial will be private at a later date.

Chris's generous spirit was continued after his passing by donating his organs through the New England Organ Bank, in which the family hopes memorial donations may be sent to; 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.

My husband and I had the pleasure of watching Chris grow into a great young man. He enjoyed coming to our home on the lake where he enjoyed jet skiing. Even more, I think he enjoyed my cooking. Our hearts are broken. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Chris will always have a special place in our hearts. rest in peace Chris {AKA Beef and Noodles)

My sincere sympathy and condolences for your loss. I had the privilege of hiring Chris into the Asplundh family. May you take comfort in knowing he was a valued employee who possessed a great work ethic. He was a hard working man and was quick to learn new skills to better himself. He will be missed by all who worked with him.

We met at BF Brown. I was in 7th grade and you in 6th. The bus rides home were never dull. Hanging out during the summer, passing notes between classes. You were a great friend Chris, and will be missed. Until next time old friend.
