Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather

Shirley

Gary Sinkus, 68, was granted his Angel Wings on May 17, 2020 at River Terrace Rehab and Nursing Center. He leaves his wife Lynne Lucia, his daughter Carrie Sinkus and her family, his son Christopher Sinkus and his family, five stepchildren, two sisters Karen Hanlon and Doreen Croci, one brother Brian Sinkus, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Gary was born April 1, 1952, son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Stepanauskas) Sinkus. Gary loved all outdoor activities, music, wood working and always up for adventures, but his greatest joy throughout life was to focus on family, that of being a father, grandfather. He always wore a smile and was ready to lend a hand. Gary was loved by all and will be missed greatly.

To Lynne and family, May God give you all his strength, love and peace that passes all understanding. Just remember you have friends that are there for you when you need them. It is never easy losing someone, but remember you will always be blessed with the memories the two of you shared as a family, living , laughing and loving!

Gay was a kind, caring, and loving soul. I was blessed to have him as a brother. As was he blessed to have his family, especially his wife, Lynne, daughter, Carrie and son Christopher. Gary you certainly earned "your wings". Your spirit will remain within my heart forever. Rest in peace, my brother. I love you, your sister, Doreen.

Lynne,
Ive known you since we were young children and Ive never seen you so giddy and nervous until the day you and Gary were married. I took so many pictures and you were both so happy. I am so sorry for your loss. He is in a better place and all the happy memories are restored in his heart and soul. Love you and know he loved you dearly ❤

Gary you came into my moms world and gave her so many more brighter days and I thank you for that. She is hurting so much right now but I also know you will be beside her along side my dad and together you both with help her pick herself back up and show her that she still has a lot of life left. Thank you for showing my girls unconditional love and welcoming them into your life. I will forever cherish all your stories you shared with me about lifes journeys. Be free now and enjoy your new adventures. I love you and you will forever be in my heart

I did not have the privilege to know Gary personally. I know him through his wife Lynne, my sister. I understand that he was a kind, gentle and giving man to all around him especially family.
It is my great loss that I did not get to spend time with him as I am told my life would be richer for it.
To all of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and friends but especially his wife, I send my deepest sympathies and hope that the memories that you hold dear will pull you from grief into light.
May your heart be unburdened with the passage of time, and the gentle words and support of family and friends.
With love,
Vic

You always knew how to make anyone smile. You had such a kind heart and were to good for this world. I loved coming over because you always were excited to see us. You were never in a bad mood unless you had to take medicine or go to the doctors. You were so against it and always insisted that you were fine. I hope youre having fun up there Im sure everyone loved you. I cant wait to see you again.
