Dear Beholz family,
I am sorry for your loss. I am a high school art teacher who grew up in Flint, and shop frequently at Fratz' consignment shop in Fenton. I stumbled upon several boxes with clock parts and an address label on one. I don't know much about clocks or watches but I teach Metals and some advanced art classes, so I was so excited to sort through and purchase most of the small parts and glass. I hope this makes you happy to know that I plan on using these in my classes. I'm sure my students will love using these pieces to implement in their 2-D and 3-D and Metals work. Also, I found it personally cool that I share my birthday with Guenter. Most Sincerely, Teresa Moss, Fenton, MI

I was so thankful to find Guenter 5 years ago when I tried to find someone who could clean and fix antique picket watches! Over the years our family has taken 4 of them to him, as well as a tiny mantle watch (pocket watch size) and a tiny pendant watch, all belonging to our great grand-parents and grandparents. He did a wonderful job on all of them. I very much enjoyed talking with him about Germany and life in general at his shop and in the community whenever we would run into each other. My sympathies to his family. He will be missed by many!

Guenter was the consummate gentlemen, husband, father and watch repairman. He tried hard to make each customer feel better when they left his store than before they entered. He deliberately always promoted me one rank and called me General. He just fixed my watch one month ago. I would much rather have a broken watch and have him alive. He is now with his beloved wife Joan forever. Reeny was an outstanding partner in the business. Guenther was so proud to be promoted to Lieutenant with the Civil Air Patrol. I wish all of his family the very best during their time of great loss. Col. Robert O. Yaklin
