Dear Soror Kelley,

I am sending you love and pray that you will be granted peace in the passing of your beautiful mother. Soror Ethel was the epitome of intelligence, style, grace and elegance. Her excellent spirit will always be remembered and she has definitely groomed you, her Soror-Daughter, to follow in her footsteps.

Kevin and I would also like to extend our condolences to your family and the Newman family.

It is with heartfelt condolences I offer the Newman family in the loss of your wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very special lady, I loved her and enjoyed working with her on several projects in the Links of Brevard. May you enjoy peace beyond all understanding. God has planted one of his beauties in another garden. I have known Dr. Newman since she was a speech therapist in the D.C. Public Schools. She and my daughter Dr. Cheryl Y. Lee were colleagues. Not only was she my Alpha Kappa Alpha Soror, she was my namesake, Ethel. I pray God's blessings on the family, and pray that He grants them strength to sustain them through this period of transition and thereafter.
