Jean,

So sorry to see the passing of your Dad. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this difficult time.

Jud Lehman took care of my Cessna 182 during the 1960s when he was at Smith Field. It once had a strange noise that occurred only during high speed descent. We scheduled a test flight and he brought his young son along (Lon?), who at some point lost his breakfast. Jud handled the situation so well that I was unaware of what had happened until we landed. The flight did not produce the noise but Jud was curious and perseverant. Later that day he crawled all over the airplane until he found that the top radio antenna had been improperly installed by the factory and a crack had formed in the top. Theoretically, the crack might have spread enough to cause a structural failure in turbulence. The factory was notified and took remedial action. The late Ross Perot once said (before he lost his humility and ran for president), Be the best at what you do, and treat everyone with dignity and respect. Jud exemplified that advice and my sympathies and thoughts are with his family.

Rochelle, Lon, Jean, and family -- We were so sorry to learn of Jud's passing. In our years at Simpson we knew him as a kind and gentle man. Praying that you find comfort in knowing that he is resting safely in the loving arms of his Savior. Fondly,
