MELANIE RENEE DAUPLAISE, 55, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital due to COVID-19 complications. Born Aug. 17, 1965, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Bonnie (Tescula) Dauplaise. Melanie was a member of United Faith Presbyterian Church. She loved Carol Burnett, Dolly Parton, and Loretta Lynn. Melanie also loved country music, dancing, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She worked at Easterseals Arc in the sewing center for many years. Melanie is survived by her mother, Bonnie (Tescula) Dauplaise; uncle, John N. Tescula; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Remus and Edith L. (Ackerson) Tescula. A private graveside service will be held and a memorial service will be at a later date.
