One day the Braeking family pulled up across the street in their mobile home pulling a sailboat. On that day I discovered a family like no other and a mom unlike any I had ever met. I loved to be in Mrs. Braekings kitchen when she was making jam, canning or cooking. Her backyard vegetable garden was amazing. Mrs. Braeking had a heart as big and generous as anyone I have ever known and I learned from her that neatness doesn't make a house a home. Love does.

I am so sorry for the loss of Vi. It was an honor to be able to care and love her. I'm going to miss all the domino games we had. Her smile and laughter is so contagious, and will hold a special place in my heart.
