Joan Mildred Kent Warnke
DURHAM - Mrs. Joan Mildred Kent Warnke, former resident of Durham, died on 19 February, 2014, in Williamsburg, Virginia. Born in 1928 in Cleveland, Mrs. Warnke was a graduate of Middlebury College and the Yale School of Nursing. She was the devoted wife of the late Major John J. Warnke, Jr., who served in the U.S. Army and taught at St. Thomas Aquinas HS. She is survived by her two sons, John (Lynne) and Kevin (Anne), two grandsons, Scott (Lauren) and Brett, and one great-grandson, John II.
Mrs. Warnke was interred at the grave site of her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
