Was Jim ever a DJ in Truckee California in 65-67? I had the pleasure to have worked with a Jim Titus during my Junior and a Senior year in Truckee , California and was wondering if this was the same man. His voice was one in a million and he was such a great spirit. He looks so similar to this picture. My condolences regardless of whether this is the Jim Titus I know or your lived one.

I was lucky enough to have worked with Jim at WFRE-WFMD back in the eighties, and continued to enjoy his humor and wisdom as one of his listeners on WJEJ. All of us envied his wonderful voice, but recognized that his kindness and perspective were just as rare. Jim will be missed by all of his hundreds of radio friends and thousands of listeners.

Jim was an intelligent and gentle giant in the eyes of many in Frederick. I will never forget his music selection, in a Frederick airport hangar, for my 40th birthday! And my kids just loved him. His knowledge of the music and radio industry needs to be recorded at the museum of broadcasting in DC. I am sure he and Jim Gibbons are discussing all the trials and tribulations of radio life, and I know Mike Gibbons sends his condolences also. We were truly blessed to have been a part of his life. Our sincere condolences Doris.

I've worked in several broadcast outlets, from college radio to the NBC Networks in New York. Not only was he a great guy, he was hands down the best announcer with whom I have ever been privileged to work. God speed, my friend. God's peace be with you, Doris and family.
