Mike, you and I have shared it all since 1964 when we met as kids. You were my best man at our wedding way back when in 1973. And you have always been one of the best men I have known.
I lost Anne last year, now you. Take care of her for me. You were always her favorite.
The years have come and gone and we have stayed in touch. Older, grayer. Not necessarily wiser, but friends for life. I talked with you 12 days before you left us and we laughed about our advancing age and once again exchanged phone numbers for people to contact either of us if something were to happen. Like severe illness or kicking the bucket. Glad we did. Daph found the notes that you made that night 3 weeks ago when we talked last, with my son's phone #'s. And so I found out my best friend has died when my son called me with the news after Daph called him.
I miss you guy. A lot! I grieve for your sister Daphne, and for all those you have touched. You are a h... of a guy.
I'll close with my greeting I always made to you, "What are you up to?" And I can hear your smart-a.. answer in my head now...."170 lbs! You always were an irrepressible wiseacre. I'll see you in a few years. Keep the light burning. You are in my heart always, right next to Anne. I'll always remember Timberlake, wrapping house's, how you came to see me at work when you got off the plane just back from Nam. Shooting cider jugs in Dickerson's Quarry, Walking old Travilah Rd with pen knives at 3AM in the morning & dodging beer bottles thrown at us by drunks when we were age 16 & 15. Riding the roads in the old '57 Chevy, partying at Pearson's, you swimming with my young sons. Christmases at the Bowen's. On and on. So many life memories. You will always be alive in my mind as long as I continue to draw breath. You are one of the good ones Mike. Love you bud and miss you, Andy

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. May the wonderful treasures with Michael fill your hearts with love and bring you peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Please read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 as it holds out a very comforting hope.
