Donald L. Brown

Donald L Brown, 82, passed away December 5, 2020

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Farel Kaye Brown (Pfaff). Father of Don (Kim) and Dan (Kim). Grandfather of Danny (Suzanne), Erica (Ron), Zack and Jillian. Great grandfather to Ava and Anthony. Brothers Jim and Bob (Bonnie). Nephews Ronnie, Jimmy, Bobby, Jeff and Chris. Nieces Lisa, Bridgette and Kelly. Preceded in death by son Doug and brother Ron.

He was born and raised in Snover, Michigan in 1938.

One of four boys, Jim, Don, Ron and Bob born to James and Esther Brown.

He joined the Marines in 1956 with twin brother Ron.

Married Farel in 1960.

Moved his young family to Melvindale in 1963. Always a tireless worker, he held multiple jobs to support his family. He opened a barber shop in 1970 with brother Bob. He also operated a tax prep business with brother Jim until his passing. He also worked part time in security at the post office until his passing. He loved riding his moped around town. Loved going to Florida in the spring and eating at Palm Springs pizza and John G's for breakfast.

A good husband.

A dedicated father.

A loving grandfather.

A baseball coach to the neighborhood kids.

A fair, kind and humble man.

He was liked by many and left a positive legacy for us to carry on.

We love and miss him.

A celebration of life with family and friends will be planned at a later date.
