I think of Evelyn any least once a week , I tell her story all the time and I think of her when I'm down and always feel better. . When I say I tell her story, I mean, I tell them how she aged and how we should all emulate her. Evelyn ate every friday night at my restaurant for 30 years with her cronies , single, widowed , young , old, wealthy or poor never made a difference . I watched her friends die ,she never quit on life. The way she handled it was to make new friends. I saw her get up and go to a table with a s single person sitting at it and invite them to join them. Next week there they were part of the gang. She taught me that aging is about helping those who need us and about graciously accepting the help they bring us. I loved Evelyn and am sure shes in heaven right now , organizing Friday dinner with that infectious smile and her can do attitude. Truly a great women.

Dear Bill, Lynne, Tom and Bob,
Just got word of your mom's passing. The entire McDonald family takes it as losing a close family member. So many great memories, all providing a smile and a laugh, from Ev sharing her talents as artist and cook to her "animal husbandry" with Christine and Snoopy (the BEST stories she told with her trademark laugh).
All our love,
Sue and family
