Our family was very sorry to learn of the passing of our Aunt Boots. We just saw this obituary after thinking about her and wondering if we could find out where she was or how she was. She meant a lot to our family, even though we saw her rarely. In years past, she visited us and made her mark on our hearts with her kindness and playfulness and laughter. I remember how she and her husband, Blake, held hands all the time. I remember her saying "Eh Laawwwdd" (Well, Lord!) when she saw or heard something that she thought was funny or surprising. She was a good friend to our mother, Jeanne Sparks and a beloved sister to our father, Verlin.
Boots had 6 siblings who died long before she did : Opal, Blanche, Jessie, Orville, Harrison, Verlin. (I may have forgotten one name) Her mother and father's names were Harrison Sparks and America Grace McKinney.
Boots was a devoted Christian lady who often spoke about her husband, her son, Terry and her grandson, Jeremy. She loved them all very much.
I hope her passing was peaceful and that her last years were spent happily.
This message is written on behalf of her brother Verlin's living children: Jerrie, Michael and Dennis and our siblings who have passed : Mary, Tom, Susan and Hank.
