Dear Jack Kerby's family:Paul and I would like to express our sincere sympathy's on the the passing of Jack.He was our son's boy scout leader all the way from bridging from Cub scouts to his eagle scout just prior to David's 18th birthday.I believe that David was Jack's last eagle scout prior to him stepping down as leader. Jack was a kind, but firm scout leader. Many memories came back to me especially tonight from the years of being David's scout leader. Jack made a big difference in David's life. The leaders of troop #1629 made a difference by taking boys and turning them into productive, honest men. Rest assured Jack left quite a legacy behind.
You should be proud to be a descendant of such a fine man. Our sincere condolences.

Kristine and I are praying for your family in this season of loss and sadness.

Your dad was not only the epitome of a life well lived, he mentored and challenged boys and their fathers to do the same.

In scouting, he crafted a place that attracted many and assured that almost all would acquire the basic life and character skills that the program offers. His focus was never on making Eagles, yet fifty did.

Many fond memories of Jack, and troop 1629, growing up. Jack had many qualities we should all strive to emulate. A great man.
