Wishing the Family of Dr. Khalil Taraman abundant comfort going forward. Please know your husband and father was such a Great Man who impacting many lives. As a former LTU student of his in the MEMS program, this man was borderline a father-figure to many in how he shared non-academic guidance in the classroom. Real Life skills was also his Gift to his students, free of charge. I discovered his passing as I was reading my LTU Alumni magazine. His sweet, gentle spirit will Always be a Fond memory for me. Dr. Taraman was my doctoral academic adviser in 1976 and the most honorable man I have known. He was a good friend and even spend his vacation reviewing my dissertation. I carried my learning's from him throughout my career and passed them on whenever I could. He will be missed but never forgotten.

It is with great sadness that we have just learned today of the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Dr. Khalil Taraman. We have known him professionally and personally for many years, until he retired from LTU in Michigan and moved to California. Mrs. Taraman (Sanaa) is also a dear friend.
We have excellent fond memories of this great friend and great Teacher, and a great supporter of Manufacturing and SME Education Foundation, We have also participated together in many excellent annual conferences of the AEAS (The Association of Egyptian American Scholars). We remember our meetings with President Anwar Sadat as if it was recently!
May God bless his soul and give his family solace.
Waguih and Hoda ElMaraghy,
