Earl Roderick Ross
Grand Rapids - 8/21/1931 - 12/04/2017 Earl Ross died following a stroke.
Beloved husband of Joan Weiler Ross for 63 years. Proud father of Roger Earl Ross (Liz), June Ross Rudy (Brian) and Timothy William Ross (Diane). Seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Rudy Erickson (Luke), Eric Rudy (Stephanie), David Ross, Laura Rudy Tate (Zach), Daniel Ross, Matthew Ross and Samantha Ross. Three great-grandchildren. Son of John and Ruth Ross.
Earl was raised in Detroit, graduated from Mackenzie High School and Wayne State University with a B.A. and M.A. in business. Employed at Michigan Bell Telephone (Ameritech), retiring at the level of Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. He enjoyed genealogy, gardening, travel and serving God in the church.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11 AM at Cook Valley Estates: 1049 East Paris, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Visitation will take place beginning at 10 AM, preceding the service. Memorial contributions may be made for a reading machine to help others with low vision at Cook Valley Estates. Contribution envelopes will be available at the service or donations can be mailed to Porter Hills Foundation, 4450 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Checks payable to "Porter Hills Foundation" designated Earl Ross - reading machine.
