Dear Alan KATRITZKY Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy over the lost of an exceptional scientist. I was a grad student in UF in 1991 and had the fortune of interacting with Dr.KATRITZKY.

My thanks go to all of you, who have sent such warm and meaningful messages.
I am very grateful for so much caring and friendship, as for having been able to share with Alan so many years and to have met, together with him, so many special and inspiring people.
Alan's wish, to go on working all his life, came true and to the very end he was still occupied with plans and projects.
His Group is now dissolved and dispersed, but a room will still be kept in the University of Florida for his ARKAT Foundation, and the Flohet Conference and the Journal Arcivoc will go on.
This years's conference brought many good friends back to Gainesville, and the various former Group-members, who have settled here, do meet from time to time.
Thinking of all of you with thanks and gratefulness, and with warm wishes for you all, Linde.
Dr. Linde Katritzky,
