Frank Ling was my drafting teacher in the early 1980s at Santa Fe Community College for two semesters, until I decided I really wasn't going to make a good cartographer (my major interest) after all, despite A's in all my drafting classes. But I'm proud to say I learned to draft in an era before computer-aided drafting was introduced!

Frank was a great teacher, very patient and positive, and I very much enjoyed the classes I took with him.

With deepest sympathy to all of his family, Kathleen Maynard

Betty and Family,

Sorry to hear about Frank's passing. You were always such a close knit family. I loved getting to know you when you worked for the Gators!

You were the best!

My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Sincerely,
Judy Boles

My condolences to the family. Frank was the reason I went back to school at age 30 and got my A.S. degree in Drafting and Design Technology. I graduated in 1991 thanks in large part to Frank for giving me the opportunity and always being there when I needed help. He was very encouraging and always made me feel like I could do anything I put my mind to. Thanks to him I am still in this field in Gainesville going on 30 years now. Thank you for all you did for me.
