SAMS, OPHELIA McNEIL
Ophelia McNeil Sams, a residence of Williston peacefully passed away surrounded by close family on November 30, 2018 in Lawrenceville, GA at Mesun Hospice care center. She was a 1959 graduate Of Williston Vocational School. Ophelia was a retiree of Alachua General Hospital and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Ophelia leaves to bear her memories of love with her children, Barry McNeil Sr. (Alfrieda) Archer, FL, Geno McNeil (Monica) Tampa FL, Tamara McNeil (Lawrenceville, GA) and Phillip McNeil Sr. (Brooklyn, NY). She raised Scherolyn Byrd Smith Jacksonville FL & Beverly Byrd Sanky Williston, FL, step-children, Conrad Sams (Khalidah), Tracey Curtis, Ida Sams Booker (Ray), Lena Sams Walker (Raymond), Juanita Kitt Sams West and Angelina Burchett and 30 grandchildren.
The service & viewing to remember her smile and joy, will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 2151 NE 40th Place Williston, Florida, viewing Friday, December 7, from 5-7pm. Services, December 8, 2018, 2pm. Burial will follow immediately after services in The New Hope Cemetery.
