So sorry for your loss; I looked Bill up because of the hurricane and found his obituary. I worked for Bill at Alachua General Hospital and at an accounting group for the doctors at Shands Hospital. He was a wonderful boss and very good friend as well.

I have just learned the sad news of Bill's death. He was recommended by a mutual friend and client of Steiner & Company in 2001 after my husband's death and I needed help with filing taxes. I was comforted by his pleasant manner and quickly learned to feel confident in his knowledge and ability as a CPA. I only saw him once a year at tax time but after 17 years I thought of him as a friend. I am a little surprised that I feel such a sense of loss. I am thinking of you, Janice, and will always remember Bill.

While Bill was often ornery he always seemed able to pull it off with an infectious smile. It was hard to stay on task as we were too busy laughing at what life had brought him since our previous visit. I enjoyed getting to know him and am the better for it.

Bill was more than our accountant, he was our friend. I will miss his smile and laughter and his "scolds" of us for not keeping better records. The world is a better place because he walked on it.
