BELMONT, NC- Mr. Kenneth ""Ken"" Lloyd Baker, 73, of Belmont, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville. He was born October 31, 1946, in Gastonia, the son of the late Lloyd Parks Baker and Helen Green Baker.
Ken served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Freightliner, Lee Lighting, and Court Furniture before pursuing his passion of repairing furniture in his own business, Ken's Furniture Repair. He was a longtime active member of Grace Christian Center in Charlotte where he served as an usher for 40 years. He also enjoyed model railroading.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Susan Jeter Baker; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Baker of Shelby, NC; son, Jeffrey Alan Baker of China; sister, Susan Baker Poole and husband Lester of Springwood, NC; grandchildren, Kayla Michelle Baker, Joshua Draven Gibson, and Noah Kale Farris; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating Ken's life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with Collier Hall officiating. The service will be live streamed on McLean Funeral Directors Facebook page. The family will receive friends following the service.

So sorry to hear of Kenny's passing. We grew up together at Lowell First Baptist. Good memories esp. as teen- agers. He was always such a kind, respectful young man. My prayers are with the family.

Susan, I’m so sorry to hear about Kenny. I have so many memories of us hanging out together and him picking on us. It was fun and he was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you dear friend.
