ALFREDO PINTOR
February 1925 November 26, 2018
Alfredo Pintor was born in 1925 in Waipahu, Hawaii. His journey to heaven began peacefully on November 26, 2018, in Spokane, Washington. He was surrounded by the presence and spirit of a large, loving family. Alfredo enlisted in the army after Pearl Harbor, stationed in Berchtesgaden, Germany where he met the love of his life, Helen. He lived his life serving God, family and country. He was an avid hiker, skier and photographer. He retired in Colorado Springs after serving his country for 28 years. He was awarded the distinguished bronze star for his service in Vietnam. He sang in the choir at St. Mary's Cathedral. What brought him the most joy was spending time with family hiking, barbequing, singing and gardening.
The legacy of Alfredo's love of God, mountains and music will live through his wife, Helen (married 64 years), children: Eleonore (Mark) Hess, Anita (Rick) Risk, Phillip (Heidi) Pintor, Maria (Marcus) Ourada, Christel (Tony) Stolz, Gregory (Amy) Pintor and his 13 grandchildren, whom he doted on: Stephanie Saenger, Nicole (Mike) Johnson, Genevieve Pintor, Marcus Ourada Jr., Caitlin (Adam Yanasak) Risk, Phillip Pintor Jr., Alison Risk, Kirsten Ourada, Savannah Pintor, Connor Ourada, Logan Pintor, Alec Stolz, Erik Stolz and his 2 great-grandchildren, Sofia Cumpiano and Rafael Cumpiano.
His Hawaiian siblings include Benny (Arlene) Cailing, Faye Van Lenten, Lynda (Danny) Bryd, Norma (Danny) Carino, Rudy (Maria) Cailing, Dolores (Mateo) Daite. Dolores accompanied Alfredo to heaven that same day. Together, they join their deceased parents, Aurelia Cailing and Albert Pintor and sister, Agnes Gersaba.
Alfredo's legacy will be honored in a mass at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a Celebration of Life at Marcus and Maria Ourada's home in Spokane, Washington on December 1, 2018.
We remember Alfredo as a man who loved the mountains, always had a twinkle in his eye and a heart full of love.
