On St. Patrick Day afternoon, Carol "Van" left us to meet all of her family that had gone before her. Carol was born in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Marshall E. Lipscomb and Bettye (Morrow) Lipscomb. Prior Military (Army), she was an avid bowler and loved all sports. Carol was an Air Force Academy Football season ticket holder since 1979 and made all attempts to go to all of their College Bowl Games.
Van leaves behind her husband, James of 45 years along with her son, James Jr., grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family members, close friends and acquaintances. On April the 8th, 2021 visitation and viewing for funeral services will be held with military honors at Angelus Chapel located at 1104 S. Circle Drive in Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910 ( phone: 719-391-1918; ) from the hours of 3pm - 6pm GMT. For Covid 19 reasons there will be a max 10 people rotation per 10 minutes. The Funeral Service will be for the hours of 6 pm - 7 pm max 25 people per Covid protocol.
