Cindy E. Spangler was born on August 8, 1958, in Garden City, KS. She was called home on December 21, 2025, surrounded by her family in Bel Aire, KS.
Gary and Cindy were married on September 16, 1995. She is survived by her husband, Gary; her children, Barry (Tisha) Sinclair of Topeka, KS, Jenise (Josh) Colyer of Des Moines, IA, Chris (Jen) Spangler of Phoenix, AZ, Lindsay (Ryan) O'Hara of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren, McKenna, Sadie, Jordyn, Caleb, Ian, Joel, Kietlyn, Elaina, Cody, Landon, Grayson, Penelope, and Florence; and a great-grandchild, Charli. She is also survived by two brothers, nine sisters, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Audra Motley; and brother, Wilbur Motley.
Cindy was a sincere follower of Jesus and a faithful attender and volunteer of First Evangelical Free Church in Wichita, KS. Cindy loved kids and worked with them her entire life in family daycare, public schools, and preschool settings. She retired in 2019 from Happy Time Preschool in Waterloo, IA. She especially enjoyed traveling and camping with Gary as well as gardening, reading, working puzzles and playing games with her grand kids. Cindy also loved getting together with extended family members at Motley family reunions.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2025, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, 6555 East Central, Wichita, KS.
Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 10, 2025, at First Evangelical Free Church, 1825 N. Woodlawn, Wichita, KS. Graveside Service will follow at Kechi Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Embrace Pregnancy Center, 1040 N. West St., Wichita, KS 67203.
