The woman who died at Twyford train station on Tuesday has been named by her family as Ginette Sprott.

The mum-of-two is the sister of former heavyweight boxing champion Michael Sprott, from Reading.

She was on her way to work at CfBT in Reading when she threw herself in front of a train at around 9.30am.

She lived in Earley with her fiancé John Potter and their two children, aged one and eight.

He paid tribute to Miss Sprott, 36, today, calling her a “generous” woman who would do anything for her friends.

Someone contacted me here in Australia to tell me the tragic news about the beautiful and talented Ginette. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the whole family. Ginette and I worked together at Berkshire Council - she sat opposite me, and was inspirational in her attitude to everyone. I learned so much from her. It is such a shock to discover that she felt there was no way out of whatever was troubling her. I will never forget her smile, her poise, her dignity and her loyalty to family. God Bless you Ginette and may your family eventially find peace and courage.

To Ginette's family,

I am so sorry and in shock as you all must be at the loss of such a lovely girl. I can not believe that Ginette has gone.

We grew up together Ginette, Jennifer and Micheal. Dionne came later. We stayed out when we should of been inside. We played in the summer all afternoon and stayed out til Dorrie came home from work from the hospital. There are so many memories i have of us together, there are too many to mention.

RIP my lovely friend.

To the lovelyest family i grew up with, i send out my true condolences to you all. My heart and thoughts go out to you all. God bless to you all.

Ginette you will be missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, a lovely Angel that has now got her wings.

I will remember you with fondness and as always smiling. I sincerely hope you are peacefully at rest. You took time out to help in whatever way you could.
