So sad to hear of Joan Kennemers passing
I knew her and her deceased husband
A J Kennemer and he was my Pastor at the 1st Southern Baptist Church in Glendale
I joined the church in 1964
Joan and Pastor A J Kennemer were the most pleasant and sweetest persons I have ever known. Pastor Kennemer was instrumental in licensing me in the ministry in 1965
In 1980, He invited me to preach in his pulpit
I knew their children
I now live in Anchorage, Alaska since 1995
I will always be grateful for meeting them both and grateful to God for putting them in my life. Praise the Lord for Pastor A J and Joan Kennemer Christian service to me for many years

JOAN KENNEMER was a dear friend and wonderful person in so many ways. As pastor's wife at the time of our marriage, she and AJ visited together with RD and I for pre-marriage counseling and they continued to have a sweet influence on our 57 year marriage. Joan was a gentle loving wife, a wonderful mother to Melody and "little" Jeff, a loving grandmother, an attentive daughter in law to Jeff and Verda Kennemer, a talented musician, a dedicated follower of Christ, a friend for a lifetime, and a beautiful lady through and through. We know God has welcomed you into your New Home with many rewards.
