Our deepest condolences to the Family of Maria Caraway. Sorry we could not be there to say our good says to a great lady. I had the privilege of visiting with her and the family while George was still living. To her children, brothers and sisters may GOD give you the strength that only he can give.

Barbara Jo, Jesse and Billie,

We just learned of Mary's passing, and we are so sorry. Wish it was possible for us to attend her funeral, but it isn't.

Some of my best memories of your mom was when Barbara Jo was little. Judy and I were probably pre-teens. Just the right age to want to carry a baby around. I spent several weeks in San Angelo that summer. Mary was good to come get us and let us play with Barbara. Probably was the highlight of my summer. Can't believe that was so long ago. Remember it so well.

Then after we moved to San Angelo, I was able to visit with her occasionally. Always had good things to say about her kids.

Although I have not seen Mary for many years, I remember the kindness she showed to me and my mother when we moved to Texas in the early 80's. She let us live with her for a bit until we got on our feet. She treated me like I was one of her grandchildren, hugs when needed and scolding if necessary. At the time I hated that I had to move to Texas, but I often think back to that time with great fondness. The things I learned while there are things I would've never learned anywhere else. Thank you "Grandma" Mary.
