I will always remember Mr. Linde as being an excellent host whenever I would visit his sons at the house on Bostwick Lake. He was mindful that his guests and vistors were comfortable and well provided for.

To me, his architectural design of the Latvian Church is remarkable. I always felt comfortable attending services there---as if being in a nice setting provided by a good host.

Will always remember his kind and gracious nature and the way he would sometimes answer a question with a "Well" followed by a wry grin and a soft chuckle.

Andy and Erik, my condolences on your loss.

Dear Andi,Sherry and rik,
We, and the whole Latvian community in Grand Rapids, express our sincerest condolences to all of you on losing you dear dad.
The community owes a lot to him. He was our "architect in residence" in the Grand Rapids Latvian community. We are so appreciative and thankful for all he did. He drew the plans for the Latvian assoc hall on Grand ave after the old building was razed by the "new" 131 expressway. He designed the Latvian Lutheran church on Knapp st. Over the years he continued to be a source of advice for matters concerning these buildings and whatever else we needed.
We all thank Aivars.
Ray and I didn't really know your dad that well personally, but I know, whenever I needed some input regarding our Latvian properties, he was always very gracious to provide.
May our Lord and Savior give you peace and strength and wisdom in this difficult time.
