Potter, Arnold Jay Arnold Jay Potter, age 89, of Grandville, is now in the arms of Jesus. He passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Potter; grandson, Kent Deur. Arnold is lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Irene; children, Larry and Joyce Potter, Sharon and Dave Deur, Marlene and Cal Racey, Dale and Laura Potter, Nadine and Joel Hollemans, Jay and Lori Potter, 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Don and Rose Swagman; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Cedar Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 2025 Baldwin Street, Jenison, with Rev. Steve Igo officiating. Interment Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW. Arnold worked long and hard hours to put his children through Christian education. In honor of his passionate commitment to Christian education, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Legacy Christian School or Hudsonville Christian School.
