My sweet niece and nephews, I can never forget your father's jokes and laughter. We talked for hours the evening, before his accident. He was a great brother-n-law, special and kind. Donald, I will never forget the time you introduced me to my first love of my life, it was a blind date. Those were the most wonderful times back then, when you & Bea, me & Johnny and Lupe & Abe got together. I will miss you dearly! God bless the family & find comfort in their hearts during this difficult time. My prayers go out to the family. Love, Tia Joey San Antonio, TX

We were saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Don. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Reister family at this difficult time. His beautiful smile and ever present laughter remain in our mind as constant reminders of how he dealt with life. We fondly remember the great family time we had with the Reister family during Dominic's and Brandy's wedding. Loving thoughts and prayers, aunt and uncle, Aurora and Joseph Kaiser.

Don Reister was my friend. We knew one another from the time we could walk. Born a day apart, we grew up within shouting distance and spent hours together playing sports in vacant lots, front yards driveways and on the frozen icy streets where we lived. As we grew older we hunted together. We stayed in touch over the years and I'll deeply miss our long distance conversations, updating our lives and reliving our childhood memories together. I will always admire and respect Don's resilience and inner strength in his dealings with the loss of his beloved Bea and with his unfortunate health issues. He was always humble and always upbeat! So it came as a shock to receive the call of my friend's untimely death. May family and friends turn to their faith that Don is in a good place now. Rest in peace my friend. You'll never be forgotten.
