Worked with Bill years ago and just the slightest memory of Bill brings a smile.

Evelyn was the joy of his life....

My condolences to you. It was fun going to Big Star Lake and visiting Aunt Evelyn at her home - It's been years since I've seen her. Life takes us in different directions and some of us tend to forget about family and relatives until something happens.

Evelyn was my Aunt she came in to my life about 7 years ago, I would go to see her about once a week, we would go to lunch or just talk we could talk for hours about everything and nothing. She would tell me about U of M football and Tom Brady (he went to Michigan you know) As my eyes glossed over she would say how can you not like sports. I never knew anyone who enjoyed watching sports as much as she did. I think the only thing that made her happier was when her grandson Jeff lived with her and of course when she was at Big Star Lake.
She would tell me how much she loved and was so proud of her daughter Sue of course she could get mad at her. I said that was because they were so alike she told me to shut up and go home. Evelyn remained me so much of her mother .
Evelyn asked me why I would want to spent so much time with her I said that she was the closest thing to a mother I ever had. Thank you for allowing me the privileged of getting to know and love you.
I really respected her and will cherish my memories of the times I spent with her.
Sue I can't tell you how lucky you and your family are to have had her so long in your life.
thank you for the privileged of knowing you

Evelyn will be dearly missed but never forgotten . I loved that lady so much , witty , fun and very charming. In the seventies she would watch and make sure my wife got off the school bus and made it home , 40 years later she watched MY children get off the Kenowa School bus and make sure they made it home . I couldn't have had a better neighbor. If my kids had a party while Joann and I were out ,we'd know. Peace be with you
