Dygert, Donald Donald Dean Dygert of Rockford, Michigan, age 87, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019. Don was born to Genevieve R. Dygert and Dean D. Dygert on March 7, 1932. He was the youngest of four children, born in Jamestown, Indiana. Don was a Sergeant in the Korean War. He loved classical music, boating, and studying the Holy Scripture. Don did achieve his masters degree from the University of Michigan and Michigan State. Don is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Bonnie Dygert. Don is also survived by his sister Rose, nine children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. There will be a time of memorial visitation from 11:00 am until Noon on Sunday, September 8, 2019, at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe NE, Rockford, MI 49341. The funeral service will be celebrated at Noon following visitation on Sunday, September 8, 2019. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service at Three Angels Fellowship Church, 5439 KIES NE Rockford, MI, 49341. Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation 4601 Forbes Blvd., Suite #130, Lanham, MD 20706.
