Paauwe, Richard Richard Allen "Rick" Paauwe age 60, passed away February 21, 2021. He was a 1978 graduate of Grandville High School. He joined the United Sates Marine Corp, where he was a combat engineer and heavy equipment operator. Rick was an electrician and ran his own business. He married Tomoko Miyagi and lived in Hulett Wyoming for over 20 years. Rick is survived by his former wife Tomoko, children Kevin, Christine, Brandi (Cullen), Nikki (JD) and eleven beautiful grandchildren: Ashlynn, Candace, Evan, Millie, TyReece, Destiny, Kyera, Kyonna, Jack, Cael and Brody, his mother Deanna, Mom and dad Jerry and Carole, sister Denise (George) Brown, Cindy Toms, Kris (Marty) Neely and special friend Patty, many nieces and nephews, cousins and lifelong classmates who were like family to him. He was preceded in death by his son Nicholas, brothers Jerry, Jim, and Randy. Rick was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman that loved to kayak with his friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Hulet Wyoming Civic Center on Friday April 2, 2021 @ 11:00 am, also in Michigan later this summer. The family would like to thank the Patriot Guard for their assistance with Rick's arrangements.....SEMPER FI

Thanks to the Patriot Guard riders, Rick is "home" in Hulett

Wyoming . He will be roaming the black hills ,hiking ,hunting and fishing his favorite spots.
We thank our family and friends for their support during his difficult live journey. Praise God for his soul the past three years , Jerry and Carole Paauwe

Tomoko, Brandi and Nikki, please accept our sincere condolences on your loss, please know that Rick will receive the utmost respect as the Iowa Patriot Guard Riders have the Honor to do the dignified Transfer across the State of Iowa on March 11, 2021. We have three Marine Corps Veterans that will lead the Patriot Guard escorts on the three different legs of the journey. Semper Fi and God Bless you in your time of loss.

I wish all well, I knew Rick since I was three, He helped me get my start in the electrical field. He was a great guy would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. Tomoko,Brandi and Nikki you have my sincere condolences I will miss him as I do Randy every day.
