Roy was a good neighbor, always ready to help anyone with any project, and always with a smile and a great sense of humor. He was a devout Christian who was active in his church, and in the community. He loved his children and his grandchildren, and great grandchildren, but more than anything, he loved Carolyn. We will see them again.

Roy was a cousin, but when we grew up in Grandville, we were very much like brothers. I have fond memories of what must have been about a thousand ball games together with so many family gatherings that were part of our adolescent days. Those were happy times!

I clearly remember the first time Roy ever gave me a ride in his newly obtained first automobile. As we rolled down Chicago Drive, the Everly Brothers were singing Bye Bye Love, and I thought "Roy's all grown up".

Roy was a good man. One that folks could count on. He had a servant's heart and his contributions were many.
His was a life well spent.

Betty and I send our condolences and sympathy in this difficult moment. May The Lord provide strength and peace if mind as we bid farewell to a man who enriched so many lives.

God bless!
