Don Kleczewski

De Pere - Donald Dusty Kleczewski, 67, passed peacefully in his sleep on October 13, 2020 following a year-long battle with leukemia. The son of Donald R. and Sylvia (Lepak) Kleczewski was born on June 18, 1953.

Don was a Premontre graduate, earned his Bachelor's Degree from UW-Madison and Master's Degree from UW-Oshkosh. He spent the early part of his career in public accounting and the past 35 years of his career as a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst in IT at Humana.

On November 10, 1973, Don married Beth LaMere in Green Bay. Together, they raised three boys and were incredibly proud of the men they have become.

Don and Beth enjoyed relaxing on their front porch, taking neighborhood walks together, caring for the house and lawn, cooking and going out for special occasions. Their favorite weekend trips were to Chicago with their friends Tim and Carmen.

Don was an avid reader, especially history, liked to golf and listen to music. We will all miss his ongoing pursuit of things being done "The Don Way."

Don is survived by his wife, Beth; father, Donald; children, Brett (Kelley), Nathan (Kayla), Michael (Corinne); grandchildren Kellan, Beckham, Milo, Alivia, Liam and Hutson. He is further survived by his sisters, Donna Schaut and Denise Kleczewski; Beth's family, as well as other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia; infant sister, Debra; and other members of his extended family.

Due to COVID restrictions, private family services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ledgeview. Inurnment will follow at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to donate to causes near and dear to Don.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff at the Froedtert Center for Advanced Care for their exceptional care in Don's final days.

I have such fond memories of working with Don in Self-Funded. He was an important member of our Sales team. We would often say “send it to Don and have him perform his magic.” Our clients appreciated his attention to detail with his “ad-hoc” reports. Don was a great guy! RIP Don! Thoughts and prayers to Beth and his family.

Worked with delightful Don at Employers Health/Emphasis/Humana in the Self Funded Employer Service area. After I left and returned to visit Don made the effort to come as it was not about just the work for Don but the people. I am sad to learn that he has moved on and from our home in Grand Rapids MI I wish the best for Beth and the rest of the family

I worked at Humana and came to know Don through the company golf outings. After getting to know him, he always came by my desk to chat. If you saw him in the hallway, he always would stop to say hello and see how things were going. My condolences to the family for the loss of such a wonderful, kind man.

I would always see Don walking the halls at Humana when I worked out there. I can agree with the obituary that he was proud of his kids.
He often had me send a special message to his son Mike who I worked with. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time

I had the privilege of working with Don throughout his time at Humana. There was never a time that we would pass in a hallway without having a conversation. I do know he spoke very lovingly about his family all the time and always had the lasted scoop on what was happening at the office. When I asked him if he planned on retiring in 2018 when I was leaving, his answer was no - he loved what he did. Heart felt sympathy to his family and friends who will miss him.

Goodbye my big brother, I will miss you. Life will be sad without you. I never thought we’d lose you so close to saying goodbye to our mom. I love you and tell mom I love and miss her too.
