Our dear Floydee will be missed greatly. Floyd was a dear friend of my grandpa, Dewey Schmidt from Gresham. I remember them being thick as thieves, making Vegas runs, hunting trips and of course the trout fryes we all enjoyed so much. Floyd always took it upon himself to have a trout fry down at the Gresham Park on an annual basis. Floyd was a true gentlemen, as well as his brothers, Big AL, Big OZ and of course Art the Fart. Those were the only ones I knew. I was 36 years younger than Floyd and he and my father happened to die 3 months apart. I didn't realize that until just now. I live in Panama City, Florida and Floydee would always call when he got down to Destin. He's say, "Let's go out to Tibb's and have a squirrel or a rabbit." Crazy guy! My wife isn't a fan of wild game so we'd split the difference and eat Chinese.

We all loved you Floydee and will never forget you!

I am so sorry for your loss. Floyd and I have been friends for years and years. He would stop at the house and we would have an occasional lunch together. We sent each other Christmas cards for years and year and always chatted around this time of the year to catch up. I had no idea that Floyd passed away until my Christmas card was sent back. Floyd enjoyed seeing my 3 daughters grow and we had some great conversations. He was an incredible person and I will always treasure the friendship we shared. I am deeply sorry that I didn't get to see him one last time. Had I known of his passing I would have been there to say good-bye on his journey to heaven. You were truly blessed to have this remarkable person in your life. Keep the memories tucked in your hearts. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Lynn Strombach

Dear Barbara and Linda, Uncle Floyd meant so much to Tom and I. He was also a great brother to my dad Orie, and was such a life of the party when we would gather. My heart goes out to you and when I think of him I just have a smile on my face.D6yEY
