What a wonderful man Phat was! I remember fun times playing at the Institute of Paper Chemistry as Phat and my dad worked and showed me their talents. He was a kind and gentle man. I was so lucky to know him! Peace to Doris, Becky, Debbie and the entire family. Heaven is a beautiful place!

I found this photo of Mr. Filz in my dad's (Clarence "Shine" Gurnee) Appleton High School 1940, Clarion yearbook. Sorry about the stains. Still, a very handsome guy.

So sorry for your loss.

To Doris, Becky and family

This is a great picture of Phat .

You were some of the first friends we made when we moved to Appleton 20 years ago. We enjoyed our visits with you at St Joe's Church. Lee always wanted to get to church 20 minutes early so he could visit with Phat and other new friends before Mass. (We always knew where to find you because everyone always sat in the same pew.)
It's five years now since Lee's illness and we moved to be near our daughters when he died.
But our friendship with you and Phat and our other friends at St Joe's was some of our happiest times.
God Bless
Margaret Blohm
