Patrick M. Bergner

HOWARD - Patrick M. Bergner, 71, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. He was born on March 3, 1950 in Green Bay to the late Harold and Mary (Del Marcelle) Bergner. He married Karen Flavion in Green Bay on January 23, 1975. Pat served in the US Navy in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. He was employed at the Fort Howard Paper Mill for over 20 years until his retirement in 2002.

Pat enjoyed fishing, looking for golf balls in the river, spending time with his granddaughters, taking trips, woodworking, bird watching and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Pat Bergner Jr. and Michelle Loy, Ben Bergner; grandchildren, Chrisanda Bergner, Jade Bergner; siblings, Katie Stolberg, Mary Lou Kroening, Linda Beth (Peter), David Bergner (Lori), and Harry Bergner; in-laws, Cindy and Tom Arnhart; special friends, Dennis Gevaert, Owen Lemorand, Jim Cornette, Paul Jolly, Carrie Rentmeester, and Missy. Further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Bergner; brothers, Bill Bergner, Ed Bergner; in-laws, Dick Kroening, Bob Stolberg, Mira Bergner, Kathy Selhost, Bill and Margaret Del Marcelle, Mike and Terri Flavion.

Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 3 until 5:00 p.m. An immediate family only memorial service will follow at 5:00 with Military Honors. Pat was a very special person. Always kind and considerate. We went to the same school and Sunday school together when we were young. Then we both served together on the same aircraft carrier in the early 70's, Our Lord's peace and presence to his family. Blessings, John
