Pearl R. Basten
Green Bay - Pearl R. Basten, 94, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2017. She was born August 10, 1923, Green Bay, the daughter of the late Frank and Lou (Cropp) Hujet. On June 10, 1944, Pearl married Rex Basten at St. Willebrord Catholic Church in Green Bay. Pearl enjoyed her stays in Door County relaxing at the cottage. She liked to knit, play cards, and in her younger years, enjoyed bowling, golfing, and traveling. She was a member of the St. Mary Auxiliary and the Elks Auxiliary. Pearl was especially known for her exceptional memory of her family history.
Pearl will be sadly missed by her son, Craig (Jan) Basten; grandsons, Eric (Brenda) Basten, Chris Basten, and Pete (Gina) Basten; greatgrandchildren, Evan, Joshua, Riley, and Kelsey Basten.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rex Basten.
Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Tuesday, December 26, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Prayer Service. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Shillcox O. Praem officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. A memorial fund will be established in Pearl's name. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
