Edward Budagyan
Green Bay - Edward M. Budagyan, 90, Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Edward was born on July 29, 1927 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the son of the now late Michael and Varvara (Ambarsumovna) Budagyan. He attended school to obtain his Captains License and proudly served aboard the Nelson Stepanyan Ship sailing in the Caspian Sea carrying Cargo between Oil Rigs. He loved being on the water and took great pride in his ship and crew. Edward retired after he and his family were forced to leave their Country, at which time they came to the United States to make it their home. He had many interests, but among his favorites were fishing, reading, chess and woodworking. Edward cherished his family and always enjoyed spending time with them.
Edward is survived by his special niece Stella Tovbina, Green Bay; his great-nephew Michael Tovbin and his fiancé Ashley Dugre, Green Bay; his great-great-nephew Cameron.
He was preceded in death by one sister Nora Tovbina.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 9, 2017 at Resurrection Catholic Church 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Tim Shillcox, O.Praem officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Allouez. The family would like to offer a special note of appreciation to the staffs of Grancare Nursing Home for all of their loving care and compassion shown to Edward.
