MacLeod Family,Sharron and I send condolences for your loss. Sure hope you receive many blessings for the care you gave John as he struggled with his illness. I was pretty close to him during his 1 year at IUwhen I was a student and swimmer there. I was impressed with his relationship with the athletes and his sincerity for their wellbeing as he worked as a dorm counselor that year. What a competitor on the handball court. Thanks John for all Suns,Knicks, and Notre Dame games we got to see. Also a great time at a Notre Dame sports banquet at The New York Atlhletic Club. You were one of a kind guy.

Just learned of Coach Macleod's death. My sincere condolences to the family. Coach was my Sophomore English teacher at Louisville DeSales High School. I will always remember him. He was a clean cut, always well dressed, physically healthy individual. You would have thought he came directly from the US Marines Corps . Most often he was soft spoken and kept our attention. I remember he drove a sharp looking dark blue 1960 Chevy, like him it was always immaculate. Like him, I graduated from Bellarmine and became a teacher, but with the JCPS here in Louisville. When he was coaching in the NBA, I would proudly tell folks, Hey, I knew him when! He was my high school English teacher! Again, my condolences. As far as I know Coach was always a clean-cut, decent and honorable man!
