Delia Hernandez, 38, passed away Sunday morning, November 5, 2017 at her home in Liberal, Kansas.
The daughter of Jose and Maria Socorro (Tapia) Hernandez, Delia was born in Los Angeles, California. The Hernandez family moved to Guymon from California in 1992.
Delia was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and had recently moved to Liberal because her declining health required dialysis. She worked in production with National Beef and enjoyed dancing before she became sick.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ramon Gonzalez, Jr.; her father, Jose Hernandez; and a sister, Luz Teresa Hernandez.
Survivors include her four children: Ivette Hernandez, Fabian Hernandez, Iris Hernandez and Ramon Gonzalez, Jr. all of Guymon; her mother, Socorro Hernandez of Guymon; five brothers and sisters: Martin Hernandez of Mexico, Rosa Garcia of Guymon, Guadalupe Hernandez of California, Maria Morales of Guymon and Jose Hernandez of Guymon; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Rosary will be recited at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Guymon on Tuesday evening, November 7th at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday morning, November 8th at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Peter's with Father Raul Sanchez, celebrant. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
