Wayne Wright

1935 - 2016

Wayne Wright, 80, of rural Balko passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Senior Village Nursing Home in Perryton, Texas.
The son of Cecil William and Loretta Elizabeth (McDonald) Wright, Cecil Wayne was born December 30, 1935 in Coral, Oklahoma.
Wayne and Verna Moore were united in marriage on December 23, 1953 in Pawnee. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2003.
The Wright family moved to Guymon in 1967. They then moved to Adams in 1973 and then to the home in rural Balko in 1982. Mr. Wright worked in the oil and gas industry where he owned and operated Square Deal Oilfield Service.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kelley Wright.
Survivors include ten children: Tom Wright and wife, Karen of Balko, Gary Wright of Hardesty, David Wright of Perryton, Floyd Wright and wife, Penny of Eufaula, OK, Steve Wright and wife, Serina of Perryton, Brian Wright of El Paso, TX, Billy Wright and wife, Livy of Guymon, Tim Wright and wife, LaDonna of Hardesty, Tammy and husband, Derrick Westfall of Perryton, and Tracy Wright and wife, Vanessa of Hardesty. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Mark, Stephen, Ashley, Jessica, Buddy, Cecilia, Cody, Kelly, Johnny, Verna and Joey; and six great grandchildren.
The Wright family will greet friends on Saturday evening, January 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.
A family inurnment service will be held at the Wright family cemetery at a later date. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
