I am CERTAIN Lloyd Burton is pain free and will be for eternity. Upon his arrival at the "PEARLY GATES", it is certain Lloyd heard the words, "Well done. Good and faithful servant". Lloyd was loved by his many students as well as the many adults he knew. We were College freshmen at OPSU. When we were 6 Graders, the boys carried a bag of marbles. Holding approximafely 100. Lloyd took 10 of mine. I quit. CORKY Northrup, GHS TIGERS, 1956, CLASSMATE.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Burton was a nice man and a good educator. I know he will be missed by many.

I have so many fond memories of being in Mr. Burton's classes when he taught at Elkhart High School. He was my favorite teacher. I can still hear him reading chaucer to us in Old English. He was also a great OU fan when I was a Nebraska fan, so much so, that on an exam, he made certain that I received a particular copy of the exam. On the bottom he had added a message to me - "Go Oklahoma Beat the Farmers!" I remember him fondly for the love of the English language that he instilled in me.
Prayers and blessing go to his family. He influenced so many people and was a blessing to me.
