News Death Notice
NORRIS, James William "Bill" age 86, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday March 19, 2014. He was born January 21, 1928 in Elgin, Tennessee the son of the late Virgil L. and Emma (Lavender) Norris. Mr. Norris was a Private First Class of the U.S. Army. On August 21, 1952 in Wartburg, Tennessee he married Vivian Hope Lewallen and she just preceded him in death on March 11, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his sister Polly Pemberton and brother Warren "Jack" (Thelma) Norris He is survived by three daughters Linda Smith, Vicki (Gary) Pfuehler, and Billie (Andy) Ruggiero; one son Jim (Pam) Norris; twelve grandchildren Deanna Kersey-Heston, Karen (Scott) Pirk, Paul (Kennetha) Smith, Kristopher (Shawn) Kellogg, Allison (Alex) Brunk, Jordan Pfuehler, Ashley Pfuehler, Scott Ruggiero, Brian Ruggiero, Melissa Ruggiero, Matt Norris, and Nick Norris; eleven great grandchildren Alex, Anna, Ashton, Hayden, Brennan, Jack, Clay, Ethan, Caitlin, Micah, and Genevieve; and one sister Betty (Dellis) York. Mr. Norris is also survived by many other family members and close friends. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Saturday March 22, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Daryl Blank officiating. Entombment to follow with full military honors in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to The American Lung Assoc. 55 W.
