Wittstein Family:

There are many folks in Litchfield County leading productive lives because Andy combined knowledge of the law, a respect for justice, an understanding of human nature, and compassion for his fellow man. Hundreds were the beneficiaries of his life.

To the Wittstein Family,

I knew both Andy and Peter as young boys along with their parents, grandparents Mr and Mrs Bick, aunt and uncle Mr. Mrs Baum and uncle Jerry Bick. My mother Doretha Moore-Francis worked for your families most of my childhood and teenage years. Your families were such a large part of my daily life. I am so sorry to learn about Andy's passing and my brother Bernard and sister Betty and I send our sincere condolences to the Wittstein Family.

Andy was a remarkable person and very supportive. One year when my son was arrested here in Georgia Andy wrote a letter of support for him to the prosecutor of superior court. I really appreciated the concern and love he showed our family.

Our memories are one of our greatest gifts and I pray that his wife, children, Peter and the rest of the Wittstein, Bick and Baum families will rely on their memories of Andy to carry them through this most difficult time. Our love and prayers are with you.

My sincere condolences to the Wittstein family for their loss. I was fortunate to have known Andy since he first became a Prosecutor and learned much from him throughout the years. He was very smart, honest, fair and quite witty at times. R.I.P. my friend.

Words can't express the deep sorrow I feel hearing Andy has left us. I will miss his sense of humor that was one of a kind. The world has lost a wonderful bright caring man. I will miss his wisdom and our phone calls. RIP you will never be forgotten. My condolences to all his family.
