Anna Sara Surabian Malootian was my mother's best friend. Born the same year, they met at Bulkeley High School and were in the French Club together in their senior year. Anna was a glowing presence and an example of activisim, stepping-up-to-the-plate, diplomacy, and class. I learned of her passing only the other day. I thought she would stay in this life forever. She has left the world a better place.

I was sad to hear of Anna's passing. She was always an inspiration to me and one of the most loving people I have ever known. She will be missed by so many.
My condolences to Judi and the entire family.
Fondly, Jeff Alexson

Anna's obituary is beautifully written. It truly said how wonderful Anna was as an individual. My fondest memories of Anna are when we would go to Hartford City Council meetings to speak on issues. She was so classy! Her demeanor, dress and presence attracted attention. The City Council always gave her respect and their attention when she spoke at these meetings. I was very appreciative to have her as a mentor and comrade during our community activism together. My family always speaks fondly of those times. Anna will never be forgotten by me. My condolences to her family, Dulcie Giadone
