Dear Carol, Ben & Elida -
I am so saddened of hearing of the passing of my teammate & friend at Kingswood "Kink". I offer my deepest condolences to you all. What a guy "Kink" was. Yes, his twinkle in his eyes and his laugh were amazing. But what a positive attitude he had on the playing field. I remember at Kingswood when "Kinky" got hurt in football and couldn't play anymore he decided to play soccer and wear a special protective gear on his head and be our soccer goalie. He always took charge of the defense during games and gave us confidence. Same attitude when I played with him in baseball. What a competitor!
Elida, I remember you well teaching you at Kingswood and Ben (my favorite catcher)playing baseball for Coach Caley and I.
I follow your team the Richmond Squirrels and I'm so proud of you. Carol, I still have the fantastic painting of the three baseballs you presented to me at our team banquet you gave me that you and "Kinky" honored our team with.
Those were fun days. God Bless you all and may "Kinky" Rest In Peace.
