So sad to read about Carol's passing. She and my mom, Dorothy Podann Fillmore, were first cousins (daughter of Herman's brother, William Podann). I remember her and your family from when you were young. Sad when families don't keep in touch. I remember being at Uncle Herman and Aunt Ethel's home and the gardens, I remember Joey's funeral and am a Lutheran like Carol, although I attend Faith Lutheran in East Hartford rather than Our Savior's in Newington. I have a picture of her throwing rice at our wedding in 1974. Our thoughts and prayers are with you girls as you mourn your mom's loss. Would welcome talking with you anytime. Love,

Carol, you were such a special lady and will be missed by our family. You were so kind to our son Bryce and like us, he enjoyed visiting with his Mrs. Brown, playing the piano, feeding the birds and enjoying you talk about the beautiful yard you created with your husband. We will forever cherish our time with you and the work Todd did to make your dreams come true. We are sad at your passing, relieved that you are no longer suffering and joyful that you are at peace and once again joined with your beloved husband. Rest In Peace, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
