This is truly a great loss and cause for sorrow. I knew and worked beside Corrine for more than 30 years in the same department. I was beyond shocked the day I went to the hospital to see my own mother who was recovering from emergency surgery for a broken hip and discovered that Corrine lay dying in the room directly across the hall from my mother's room. Running into Hurley and learning of her illness and suffering struck hard at my heart. The only consolation now is knowing that her suffering is over and she is in a far better place. Corrine was generous beyond reason and will be remembered by everyone who knew her for her honesty and her compassion for others. She and Hurley and their family will be remembered in my prayers.
